distcrawl

Originally developed for my bachelor's thesis, distcrawl is a fault-tolerant distributed web crawler that scaled across 100+ cloud nodes to approximately 61,000 sites/hour. I have since extended it with Terraform automation, resilience testing, and OpenTelemetry/Grafana Cloud observability.

Collaborative-Whiteboard

Co-developed a collaborative whiteboard with React and Node.js. Socket.IO and Redis synchronize drawing, shapes, and text in real time; MongoDB persists drawings.

  • Terraform infrastructure: Cloud Run, S3/CloudFront, MongoDB Atlas, Upstash Redis, and Cloudflare DNS.
  • GitHub Actions deployments with AWS/Google Cloud OIDC and Infisical secrets management.

  • Developed a VS Code extension in TypeScript that replaced a manual browser-based workflow for pushing code to an internal templating server via REST API and added live reload.
  • Delivered storefronts for 4+ wineries, communicated directly with clients, and onboarded 2 new hires on tooling and best practices.
